What an interesting line! The concept of presumptuousness has been on my mind a lot, especially the last 2 weeks or so. Interesting that someone notes something so blatant that "the Devil's advocate" can't even shake it out of one's knowledge. I guess it makes me think about the Holocaust. (Had a nightmare about that last night.) There's a reason they say "never forget." If we so distrust our consciousnesses that we beget holocaust denial or Trump styled sophistry fascism postmodernism nonsense evil, well...that's what we're going to beget.
