The Harvest Moon Above the Prime Meridian

“For several evenings, the moonrise comes soon after sunset. This results in an abundance of bright moonlight early in the evening, which was a traditional aide to farmers and crews harvesting their summer-grown crops. Hence, it’s called the “Harvest” Moon!”

Autumn

on its way

in just over a week.

Most

of the leaves

are still

anahata

green.

Pools closed.

Back to school.

September 2022

Gets the

Harvest

moon.

Moon phases.

Lunar phases.

Lunar cycles.

Lunar months.

Sun setting

earlier and earlier now.

Not yet

so early

that I feel sleepy and depressed.Though I’m hoping

this autumn, I won’t

let

the darkness of late afternoon
